This past Tuesday Trevor and I had Dr. Travis Nelson in to talk about the influences politics have in sports as well as give a little sneak peak at what his new class will be like next semester when he turns this lecture into a class. It was a great time and it really opened my eyes to ideas I had no idea about.
Last Wednesday Trevor, Jonah and myself hosted a game night in the basement. It was a great turn out with a lot of games and free popcorn
Last night first floor had a study night in the basement conference room. This program gave people a chance to hangout, meet new people, and be productive at the same time. (I promise Andy and Zach were productive, it just doesn’t look that way in the picture haha)
Monti Washington was a great way to start the week off last Sunday night. Being a nationally acclaimed motivational speaker and amazing poet, he was able to get people to see from a more optimistic view while also sharing his own personal experiences.
Howdy everyone! There is a lot going on this week as usual around campus. A big thing this week is the Career Fair happening from Tuesday to Thursday in Velzy Commons from 2-6. Other things happening include Men’s Basketball on Wednesday, Wrestling on Friday, Info. Sessions on beginning Crochet and Growing Organic Apples at home on Thursday, Safe Zone Training on Monday and Library Help Sessions throughout the week. For a more detailed list check out http://www.uwplatt.edu/events and I hope everyone has a great week.
Hello! I hope everyone had a great first week and ready for another one. This week there is plenty of stuff to do around campus. The involvement fair is happening Tuesday through Thursday inside the Student Center. Also, Men’s Basketball Wednesday at 7:00pm, Intro to digital cameras on Thursday, from 6:00-8:00 in the Student Center and The Haus of Music Series starts back up on Thursday at 6:00 in the Haus. Feel free to talk to me about any of the programs or check out the Platteville website calendar.
Had a great time with Bad Art Night! Everyone had the opportunity to paint whatever they wanted and not get judged on how good or bad it was.
